Today as I honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., what he did, and what he stood for, I will keep these quotes of his on my mind, as they apply to all levels of the healing journey. That journey begins with me and I must keep the Faith, and the Strength, it takes to endure. I’ll remember him and all the others who “fought the good fight”, with Love:
“As my sufferings mounted soon I realized that there were two ways in which I could respond to my situation – either to react with bitterness or seek to transform the suffering into a creative force. I decided to follow the latter course.”
“All progress is precarious, and the solution of one problem brings us face to face with another problem.”
“Everything we see is a shadow cast by that which we don’t see.”
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only Light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only Love can do that.”
