Oprah and Oz spreading superstition…? Really?

http://www.skepdic.com/skeptimedia/skeptimedia5.html

Every one is entitled to their opinion, and I’m interested in hearing “opposite” points of view that contradict my own.  (For more of my thoughts on this topic, see my previous post. Hopefully we’ll hear Dr. Metz’ rebuttal at some point to the MANY issues that the “skeptics” have brought up).

One thing I did value for sure about the skeptic’s article, is it brought to my attention that Oprah’s favorite physician, Dr. Mehmet Oz, has a wife named Lisa who is an energy practitioner, a Reiki Master!!  How cool is that?!

Apparently Dr. Oz mentioned Reiki on Oprah in February 2007.  And in January of 2009, he had a series on his own show addressing alternative medicine. I’m putting that link on my permanent blogroll.

Dr. Oz says, “The next big Frontier is energy medicine”. Yay!  Now that’s the kind of publicity we need more of!!! From my point of view :).

About time, in my humble opinion, Maggie! Energy work has facilitated incredible healing for numerous people I know. I’m grateful for being in the world at this time when there is a great selection of energy types, workers and approaches.
