Yesterday was a quintessential day on the Sonoma County coast: no wind, no fog, perfect temp in the upper 70’s.
I feel so lucky to have been born in this little part of our big world. I know others have not been as lucky, and that does make it bittersweet. I know that so much pain and devastation is going on everywhere, including in our beloved oceans.
I don’t have blinders on. I am not in denial. I do the best I can to stay informed and be conscious of how the choices I make affect others and the planet. One of those choices includes focusing my energy on what is Good and Positive. What we give our energy to flourishes.
This earthly plane will never be “heaven”, nor will it ever be “perfect”. But that doesn’t give us license to give up.
I choose Beauty, Love and Joy! Ripples can turn into waves…I hope the wave of inner joy I’m experiencing ripples out and the gentle wave soon reaches your shores.
“What we give our energy to flourishes.” And there’s that fabulous message again, Maggie, and never too often. I love your Sonoma photo. The weather you described was much like ours as long as we stayed in the sunshine. Perfect day for me to chop and stack my winter’s supply of firewood – a huge tree that fell over a neighbour’s garden.

I find it comforting to be “stocked” with readiness. Good job, and Warm Thoughts to you Souldipper 🙂

I hear Sonoma County has some really good locally-produced red wine. If that ain’t heaven, I don’t know what is . . .
You’re one lucky Collie (as in dog, puppy dog, that is).

Wouldn’t you know this puppy is a tee-totaler? I’m not crying sour grapes though, it makes a welcome oasis for locals, travelers, artists and foodies, so I’m good 🙂

I bet you brew some dynamite tea there!

That was a bit of a misleading misnomer, I’m not even into tea! Except for locally made Kombucha (see my FB Fan Page post if you’d like to know what the heck I’m talking about). 🙂

I miss that about Sonoma County! Though the sun is beautiful here when it reflects off Puget sound and lights up Mt. Ranier and the Olympic’s.
