Game of Life

Illusion abounds, inside & out. Behind the curtain, words fade & power builds.

Everyone & everything at its own bidding, its own pace, its own unfolding.

Next play to be revealed.

I know The Divine Universe is supporting my hand, while I sort my cards. Awaiting the inevitable game changer.

Hope be screaming at me & I be screaming right back…

Life Sentence: The largest pain can lead to the largest gain.

    The “inside” is what counts!

    • Yes, Michael, the insides are what truly count! The only part of us that lives on!

That being acknowledged, I made this post hastily before I had a chance to explain myself further.

On the earthly plane we can never assume that just by looking from the outside that one can know another persons suffering, or pain. Some of us just mask it better than others. Also, we are usually the first to judge the insides of ourselves harshly under the presumption that others seemingly ‘have it together’ better than we.

I first heard actor Rob Lowe, self-professed ‘pretty boy’ quote this, in conversation with fellow actor John Travolta, about his own angst & addiction recovery. Things may look fine on the outside, but we can’t always “judge a book by its cover”. Our library must be filled with compassionate hearts & open minds, free of pre-conceptions, towards others & ourselves…

So good to see you back on your blog, Maggie! You’ve been quiet for a while 😉

    • Dear Renee, I’m indeed hoping for better & more balanced days ahead. Working to have my ‘insides match my outsides’, working from the inside out is not pretty, but it is pretty necessary, especially when it becomes ones last option. Sending lots & lots of love to you & your family.

  3. I love this. This is so very true. You cannot judge someone else’s path or how they experience it. The best we can do is try to be compassionate to the pain of others and to our own.
