Even though I remain
I am with you always

Across the miles…
When the music resounds around you
Watch the couples stepping to the beat
Think of us, and smile

When you catch a star taking a dive
Or gaze at the moon in the midnight sky
Look closer, and see my face
Come alive

When the rain falls gently upon your face
Around you the world glistens
Patterns, puddles and traces emerge
As its rhythmic song is repeated
Receive my joyful embrace

When you stare out across the open waters
Sense the life, its power
Tickled by a breath of wind
Nature’s subtle reminder
Taste the salt on your lips
And remember my kiss

But when outside turns bitter foe
Inside you’ll find a friendly retreat
There burns a fire, your back is turned
Listen to its roar, absorb its heat

You can’t SEE it…
But you can FEEL its presence
Just as you do mine

Even though I remain
I am with you always
