Today’s “Note to Self” (Mind’s Eye)

Remember, your mind chooses what it wants to perceive. Self-limiting beliefs are a cage of our own making. There is always an escape route close at hand, if we’re brave enough to see it, let alone take it.

There are also boundaries that are meant to keep us safe, if we trust ourselves, and are healthy enough, to want them, let alone build them. The best fences keep out the “bad” energies, while allowing the “good” to flow through.  Both perspectives are a necessary part of the healing, spiritual journey…boundaries down, boundaries up, then “no boundaries necessary no more!”, once we’ve reached Home.

To cover your bases while you’re journeying out and up, I say keep your options open as far as your perceptions are concerned! Make sure that one of the choices on your Daily Life Quiz is: “c.) All of the above.” Then pray for Clarity, Discernment, Courage and Trust, so that you can make the right choices for yourself.

Your photo complements your article very well, Maggie. I see the hole in the boards and am reminded how often we think we’ve broken through and find another type of barrier. So we keep on.

    • Thanks Amy! Often I take “random” photos, that later become the inspiration for my posts. And, you are so right about having to “keep on keepin’ on”. I say it’s like peeling on onion, cuz that too usually involves a lot of tears. Sometimes it can get disheartening, but when you do start to feel “less burdened” and more content in general, that’s the pay-off and the cue to keep going. Even Martin Luther King referred to this notion, which I quoted not too long ago in my post honoring MLK Day.

Your “Minds Eye” Note to self resonated with me. In fact, I copied the first couple of paragraphs and will post them with my other ‘pearls of wisdom’ on my office bulletin board!
